LAST MINUTE TIPS FOR SPRING BRIDES

If you're a spring bride preparing for your big day, you probably have a lot to do and only a little time left to do it! With all the big things to remember, sometimes the little details can fall to the wayside. But don't worry, we have you covered. Below are some last-minute tips you can follow to ensure everything goes smoothly.


Weatherproof your dress and makeup: Spring weather can be unpredictable, so make sure your dress has the proper undergarments in case of a spring rain. It is also a good idea to be prepared with a clear umbrella for yourself and your bridal party. If it should rain, you can incorporate the umbrellas and still have aesthetically pleasing pictures. Be sure you have extra bobby pins and hairspray to fix flyaways in case of a strong gust of wind, and bring a few q-tips and tissues to touch up makeup smudges from sweat or a spring sprinkle. You may want to designate a friend or bridesmaid to keep an eye on your hair and makeup post ceremony and during portraits. And don't forget a wrap or shawl in case the temperature is cooler than you anticipated.


Prepare for allergies: Spring is notorious for allergies, so if you or any of your guests suffer from allergies, make sure you have the necessary medication on hand. A necesseties basket in the restrooms complete with tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. is always a good idea.

Incorporate spring flowers: Spring is the season of flowers, so in addition to your arch and centerpieces, you can use fresh flowers in your hair or your groom's lapel. Have a backup plan: While spring is a beautiful time of year, it's also known for rain and unpredictable weather. Make sure you have a backup plan in case of inclement weather, whether it's an indoor venue or a tented area. Reserving a tent or putting a deposit down beforehand is well worth the money should there be a chance weather changes at the last moment.


Stay hydrated: Spring weather can be warm and sunny, so make sure you and your guests stay hydrated throughout the day. Provide plenty of water and other beverages, and consider having a hydration station set up for guests to refill their water bottles.


Don't forget about bugs: With spring comes bugs, so make sure you have insect repellent available for guests. That handy necessities basket in the restroom is a great spot for it! You may also want to consider having citronella candles or torches to keep bugs away.
